SOFTWARE COUNTRY PRESENTS: THE CHESSMASTER 2000!

THE CHESSMASTER 2000 is a wonderful game. The chess engine was written by David Kittinger and has it’s roots in David Kittinger’s “MYCHESS” although it is not quite as strong. Playing the game is easy.

You can switch between the OPTIONS MENU and the game’s CHESS BOARD with the F1 Key. To change OPTIONS with a PC you hold down the TAB key and press the appropriate letter. Disk 2 has 100 famous games from history which you can replay.

You can read about the original CHESSMASTER 2000 here:

The manufacturer rated the game at 2000 Elo USCF, in reality it plays at approximately 1550-1600 Elo (1750 -1800 USCF).

Chess Game Examples

The game example below originates from the C64 Open Championship and was played with a real Commodore 64 or 128 and original CHESSMASTER 2000 software, however the Emulator Software should play exactly as the original game.
